Official Rules
The Giveaway is sponsored by Kitsap Credit Union (“Sponsor”) at P.O. Box 990, Bremerton, WA 98337.
- The Giveaway is open only to legal residents of Washington State who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. You do not need to be present to win. No purchase is necessary in order to win. A purchase or payment of any kind will not increase your chances of winning.
- Kitsap Credit Union employees, Board and Committee Members, vendors, and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter or win.
- Immediate family members are defined as spouse, parents, stepparents, foster parents, father-in-law, mother-in-law, children, stepchildren, foster children, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandparents, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and first cousins.
- The Contest runs Thursday, April 16, 2026 at 9:00 am through Thursday, April 23, 2026 at 11:59 pm Pacific Time (PT). Entries submitted outside the Giveaway Period are void and will not be eligible. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Giveaway if causes beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control impair the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper operation of the Giveaway.
- Odds of winning are dependent on the number of entries. Only one entry per participant will be counted for Facebook and one entry will be counted for Instagram. Participants can earn up to two entries by participating on both Facebook and Instagram. Kitsap Credit Union, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process. Kitsap Credit Union further reserves the right to cancel, terminate, or modify the Contest if it is not capable of completion as planned, including because of infection by tampering or unauthorized intervention.
- To enter, “Like” the Financial Capability Month Giveaway post on Facebook and/or Instagram, comment a financial wellness tip that has helped you, tag a friend you think would like to enter in the comment section, and make sure you are following our account. This will earn the participant one entry into the drawing. To earn a second entry, the participant can enter on either Instagram or Facebook. Maximum of 2 entries per person.
- Alternative Method of Entry: To enter the Financial Capability Month Social Media Giveaway without participating via social media, individuals may enter by mail. To do so, handwrite your full name, street address, city, state, ZIP code, and phone number on a plain 3” x 5” white index card and place it in a standard envelope. Mail the envelope via the U.S. Postal Service to: Kitsap Credit Union, Attn: Marketing Department, P.O. Box 990, Bremerton, WA 98337. Each entry must be handwritten, mailed separately in its own envelope, and must be postmarked no earlier than Thursday, April 16, 2026, and no later than Thursday, April 23, 2026, and received by Kitsap Credit Union no later than Monday, April 27, 2026. Limit one mail-in entry per person, per day, based on postmark date. Entries that are illegible, incomplete, mechanically reproduced, or generated by script, macro, bot, or other automated means are void and will not be accepted.
- Drawing will be held Monday, April 27, 2026, and the winner will be selected by random drawing. The winner will be notified by social media on or after Monday, April 27, 2026. The potential winner notification must responded within 48 hours of Sponsor’s first notification attempt. If the potential winner does not respond timely, if found to be ineligible, declines the prize, or fails to complete any required documentation, Sponsor may disqualify that person and select an alternate winner by random drawing from among the remaining eligible entries. All prizes must be picked up at the Kitsap Credit Union Bremerton Harborside by the winner by May 11, 2026. The winner will need to bring a photo ID such as a driver’s license, state ID, or passport to verify their name and date of birth. All federal, state, and/or local income and other taxes, if any, are the winner’s sole responsibility. No prize or portion thereof is transferable or redeemable for cash.
- Kitsap Credit Union may or may not photograph the winner. The winner agrees by his or her entry to allow his or her name and image to be used for Kitsap Credit Union advertising, educational, promotional or other legitimate business purposes.
- For the name of the winner, please send a self-addressed stamped envelope and a request for a list of winners to Kitsap Credit Union, Marketing Department, P.O. Box 990, Bremerton, WA 98337.
- Prize consists of one (1) Visa gift card valued at $250 and one (1) KCU swag gift bag valued at $50, to be awarded to the verified winner. In addition, Sponsor will make a separate donation in the amount of $250 to one eligible local nonprofit organization designated by the verified winner, subject to Sponsor’s review and approval. Total approximate retail value associated with the Giveaway is $550. The nonprofit donation is not paid to the winner and will be made directly by Sponsor to the approved nonprofit organization. If the winner does not designate an eligible nonprofit, or if the designated nonprofit is not approved by Sponsor, Sponsor may select an alternative eligible nonprofit in its sole discretion. Sponsor is not responsible for any tax consequences associated with the separate nonprofit donation.
- By participating, each entrant agrees to be bound by these Official Rules and by Sponsor’s decisions, which are final and binding in all matters relating to the Giveaway.
- This Giveaway is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook, Instagram, or Meta. By entering, participants understand that they are providing their information to Sponsor and not to Facebook, Instagram, or Meta. Participants agree to release Facebook, Instagram, Meta, and their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any liability arising out of or relating to this Giveaway, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
- Information collected in connection with this Giveaway will be used by Sponsor for administration of the Giveaway and otherwise in accordance with Sponsor’s applicable privacy practices.
