January Sticker of the Month

Our January 2026 Sticker of the Month

We’re welcoming the new year with a little extra magic January’s Sticker of the Month captures the quiet beauty and hopeful anticipation that comes with a fresh start—crisp winter air, a peaceful night sky, and the promise of new beginnings just beyond the sunrise.

This month’s design was created by local artist Alex Sanford, a Kingston-based artist whose whimsical style is inspired by the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest. Alex’s work is known for inviting a sense of wonder, connection, and joy—and January’s sticker is no exception.

When designing this sticker, Alex drew inspiration from the stillness and symbolism of the new year. “When I think of January and the new year as an artist, I immediately think of a night scene,” Alex shared. “I think of the quiet cold winter air in all its crispness. I imagine new beginnings on the other side of the sunrise.”

For Alex, the moment just before the new year arrives feels especially meaningful. “I love how it feels the night before the new year—how we try to stay awake to usher it in. Kind of like waiting for a baby to be born,” she said. “There’s so much possibility in the span of a year. So much change that can happen and growth. There’s a bit of a magical feel in that anticipation, and that’s something I wanted you to feel in this sticker.”

As with many of her designs, the Pacific Northwest plays a starring role. Trees, mountains, and winter elements reflect the landscape that inspires her year-round. “As always, I draw inspiration from the beautiful PNW with our trees and mountains. Personally, I’m hoping for some snow this year, so I sprinkled some of that in as well,” Alex shared. “I love the glitter in this sticker!”

At its heart, this design is about optimism, connection, and stepping into the year ahead with curiosity and hope. “My hope for you this new year is that you find the magic that comes with a fresh year full of possibility,” Alex said. “I hope you have many new adventures and that you find connection in your community. Happy New Year!”

We hope January’s Sticker of the Month brings you a sense of calm, inspiration, and excitement for all that the year ahead has to offer.
