Doris Heritage

At 81 years old, Doris Heritage boasts an impressive, world-class career as both an athlete and a coach that started right here in Pierce County. From running the beaches of Fox Island as a young girl to becoming the first woman to run a sub five-minute mile indoors in history, Doris’s passion for running and perseverance despite the challenges she faced as a result of gender discrimination in the 1950s would see her become a legendary runner and inspiring coach for other world-class athletes like herself. "Anything is possible with a good team, if everybody does their part,” Doris said.  “Especially if you enjoy doing your part together."

Michael Callahan

With an impressive two-decade long career at UW Rowing, Michael Callahan, knows the value of a synergistic team. Part of UW Rowing since 1996, Michael has become a prominent and steadfast figure in the rowing community not only leading the men’s rowing team to victory countless times during his 18 years as head coach but his holistic approach to coaching allows those around him to reach success. “A good coach cares about you, helps you navigate rough waters, and works tirelessly to make your dreams a reality,” said Michael.

GOLD CHECKING MONTHLY QUALIFICATIONS*

Monthly qualifications apply to earn stated rate, refer to Rate & Fee Schedule for more information. The qualification period is from the 1st day of the month until the last day of the month. Must meet Credit Union membership eligibility and account opening requirements. Minimum to open account is $25. High APY rate paid on balances between one penny and $15,000, and 0.05% APY paid on the portion of the balances above $15,000 each cycle the qualifications are met. If you do not meet the qualifications per cycle, your account will earn the Base Rate and will not receive ATM fee refunds for that period.
