Beneficiaries can be added to many personal deposit accounts, but some account types are not eligible. Business accounts, trust accounts, estate accounts, custodial or guardianship accounts, and certain other specialized accounts may have different ownership and inheritance rules. If you're unsure whether your account is eligible, please contact us for assistance. You can add a beneficiary by following the steps below:
- Visit a Kitsap Credit Union branch or contact our Contact Center at either (360) 662-2000 or toll-free using (800) 422-5852
- Provide the beneficiary's full legal name, date of birth, and other required identifying information.
- Complete and sign any required beneficiary designation forms.
- We'll review the request and update the account once all required documentation is received.
