  • A soft inquiry occurs when you check your own credit score or when certain companies review your credit for prequalification purposes. Soft inquiries do not affect your credit score. A hard inquiry occurs when you apply for credit and may have a temporary impact on your credit score.

Through this partnership, members can access their credit score, credit report, credit alerts, Credit Score Simulator, and educational resources directly within digital banking.

  • The Credit Score Simulator is an interactive tool that lets you see how hypothetical actions may affect your credit score, such as paying off a credit card balance or applying for a loan. Using the simulator does not affect your actual credit score.
  • A credit report is a record of credit-related information, such as current and previous loans and accounts, payment history, credit utilization, credit inquiries, and certain public records.
  • Credit scores may differ because there are different credit reporting bureaus and scoring models. SavvyMoney uses credit information from TransUnion and VantageScore® 3.0, so the score shown may be different from scores shown by other services.
