Can I use my credit card for international purchases?
Yes, your credit card can be used internationally, but it's a good idea to notify us of travel plans to prevent fraud alerts on your account. -
Can I use my credit card to withdraw cash from an ATM?
Yes, you can withdraw cash from an ATM using your credit card, but cash advance fees and interest may apply. -
Can I use my credit card with mobile payment apps like Apple Pay or Google Pay?
Yes, you can add your credit card to Apple Pay, Google Pay, and other mobile wallets for secure transactions. -
Can I use my debit or credit card while traveling internationally?
Yes! Your debit or credit card can be used anywhere that VISA is accepted. You can also set a Travel Notice to let us know when and where you'll be traveling so we'll know your card(s) will be used in a different location. Travel Notice is a feature of Card Management that's available in online banking and our mobile app.
To access Card management:
In Online Banking, log in and select “Card Management” from the “Cards & Rewards” Tab. Then select “Set Travel Notice.”
In the mobile app, log in and select “Cards & Rewards” from the “More” menu. Then, choose the Card Management option and select “Set Travel Notice.”
Traveling Internationally? Our Rate & Fee Schedule will provide you with the Visa International Fee that will apply to international transactions.

How can I request a credit limit increase?
You can request a credit limit increase by logging into your online banking account or calling customer service. Credit limit increase is subject to approval. -
How can I send credit card payments?
Making your Kitsap Credit Union credit card payment is easy!
You can make a credit card payment in any of the following ways:
- Online Transfer from your KCU savings, checking, or money market account.
- Bill Pay from the financial institution you have your checking account at.
- Mail us a check or money order for your payment.
- Provide a payment at a branch location.

How do I activate my new credit card?
You can activate your new credit card by calling the activation number provided with the card or by logging into your online banking account. -
How do I change my credit card billing address?
You can update your billing address by logging into your online banking account or calling customer service. -
How do I enroll in paperless statements for my credit card?
To enroll in paperless statements, log into your online banking account and update your statement preferences. -
How do I initiate a balance transfer from a different credit card onto my KCU card?
To do a balance transfer to your Kitsap Credit Union VISA card, we will issue a check to pay off your other credit account. You will need to provide the following information:
- Amount to be paid
- Creditor’s name
- Mailing address
- Your account number
To request a balance transfer, please contact us through Live Chat in Online Banking, contact a Member Specialist by calling 800-422-5852, or visit one of our branch locations.

How do I lock or freeze my credit card if I suspect fraud?
You can temporarily lock or freeze your card using online banking or the mobile app if you suspect fraudulent activity. -
How do I redeem cash back from my Visa Cash Back card?
Redeeming your Cash Back is easy! Use the CashBackRewards.org website with your smartphone or computer to manage your cash back account wherever you are. Check your balance and start redeeming your cash today!
To Redeem Your Cash Back:
1. Go to CashBackRewards.org and click “Register” on the top right.
2. Enter your information, create a user name, agree to the program Terms and Conditions, and then redeem!
Cash redemptions will be deposited into your Kitsap Credit Union Savings account within 5-7 business days.

How do I redeem points from my Visa Rewards card?
Redeeming your Visa Rewards points in your online or mobile banking account.
In online banking, click the "Cards and Rewards," then “Better Together Rewards” tab at the top.
In mobile banking, select "Cards and Rewards," then “Better Together Rewards” in the "More" menu.
You'll be asked to confirm your email address the first time you visit the site.
Points can be redeemed for merchandise, gift cards, and even cash back! Happy redeeming!

How do I report a fraudulent transaction on my credit card?
If you see an unauthorized transaction, report it immediately through your online banking portal or by calling customer service. -
How do I request a credit limit increase on my Kitsap Credit Union credit card?
To request a credit limit increase, you can:- Send a secure message via Online or Mobile Banking
- Call our member services team
- Visit a branch and fill out a short request form
Please note: A credit limit increase request may trigger a hard credit pull, which could impact your credit score. -
How do I set a travel notice on my Kitsap Credit Union credit or debit card?
To avoid transaction issues while traveling, you can set a travel notice for your Kitsap Credit Union card through our digital banking platform:- Log in to Online Banking or the Mobile App
- Navigate to Card Management > Travel Notice
- Enter your travel dates and destinations
- Submit and receive a confirmation message

What are the different ways I can make a credit card payment?
You can make payments online, via mobile banking, through a branch, by phone, or by mailing a check. -
What do I do if I lost my Debit / Credit Card?
You can report your card, whether it's a debit or credit card, lost/stolen anytime in Online Banking or on the Mobile App by logging into your account.
In online banking, select Cards and Rewards, then Card Management in the Additional Services tab.
In the mobile app, select Cards and Rewards, then Card Management in the More menu.
If there has been any fraudulent transactions, contact us or complete a fraud report. The fraud report is located in online banking within the Other Services box when viewing your account history.
Still need help? Give us a call at 1.800.422.5852. (24 hours a day) We will review recent transactions with you to make sure no fraudulent transactions have happened and can issue you a replacement card.
You can also pick up a replacement card by visiting one of our branch locations. Please see our current Rate & Fee Schedule for the current fee for replacement cards.

What happens if I miss a credit card payment?
Missing a payment may result in late fees and a negative impact on your credit score. Contact us as soon as possible if you anticipate difficulty making a payment. -
What happens if I pay more than my minimum payment?
Paying more than your minimum payment reduces your balance faster and decreases the amount of interest you pay over time. -
What is the difference between a charge card and a credit card?
A charge card requires full payment of the balance each month, while a credit card allows you to carry a balance with interest charges. -
What should I do if my credit card is lost or stolen?
If your credit card is lost or stolen, report it immediately by calling our customer service line or using your online banking app to lock the card. -
What should I do if my credit card transaction is declined?
If a transaction is declined, check your available credit, ensure your card information is correct, and contact customer service if needed. -

Why did I receive a call from Fraud Prevention Center?
Kitsap Credit Union provides all of our members’ fraud monitoring on card transactions. The fraud prevention system will call you from 1-877-902-4806 to verify transactions. If you missed a call, our team would like to review your recent transactions with you to ensure all the transactions were yours.
