Welcome to Online Banking – Stay Safe from Scams

Welcome to Online Banking at Kitsap Credit Union!

We’re excited to have you using our digital services to manage your money anytime, anywhere. With convenience comes responsibility, and we want to help you keep your accounts and identity safe.

Common Online Banking Scams to Watch For

Fraudsters often use account takeover schemes to trick members into giving away personal information. Here are a few ways they try:
  • Phishing Emails & Texts – Messages that look official but ask you to click a link or provide login credentials.
  • Phone Calls (Vishing) – A caller pretending to be Kitsap Credit Union, pressuring you to give account or card numbers.
  • Smishing – Text messages claiming your account is locked or needs verification, asking you to click or respond.
  • Tech Support Scams – Someone claiming to be from a reputable company who asks you to log in or download software.
  • Money Transfer Requests – Scammers may claim your account is compromised and urge you to “move money” to protect it.
What Kitsap Credit Union Will Never Ask You
To keep it simple, remember: if you’re asked for these, it’s a scam. We will never ask you to provide:
  • Your Online Banking username or password
  • Your full account number or debit/credit card number
  • Your one-time passcodes or multifactor authentication codes
  • To transfer money from one account to another to “keep it safe”
