    • Can I apply for a loan modification after a bankruptcy?

    • Can I make my loan payment over the phone?

      Yes! You can call us at 1-800-422-5852 to make your Kitsap Credit Union loan payment over the phone. See our current Rate & Fee Schedule for Pay by Phone Convenience fee.

    • Can my loan be paid off by a third party?

      Yes. We can apply a payment to your loan account from a third party. They would need your name and loan account number. We would not provide the third party with any of your personal or account information.

       

    • Do I get credit if the payoff balance is less than the amount Gap insurance is paying?

      Yes. Any amount that is sent to pay off your loan that is more than the amount you owe will be deposited into your savings account.

      You can verify your account balance anytime by logging into your online banking account.

       

    • Do you offer a secured credit card to help build credit?

      At this time, we do not offer secured credit cards, however, we do offer share-secured loans to help members build their credit. A share secured loan is a loan off of the money you have in your savings or certificate account. This will reflect as a loan on your credit report and with consistent, on time payments it can help your credit rating over time.

    • Do you offer debt Secured and Unsecured Loans, Personal Lines of Credit, Home Equity Lines of Credit, Overdraft Lines of Credit, or Visas?

      Kitsap Credit Union does offer all of those loans for our members to consolidate bills and pay off other debts.  There are several options available to most members.  This may include personal loans, home equity loans/lines, or even a first mortgage.

    • Do you offer payday loans?

      Though we have many convenient loan options, we do not offer payday loans. Typically offered at extremely high interest rates, payday can be very costly and are not in the best interest of the consumer. We do offer several types of personal loans that may provide you with the funds you need.

    • How can I qualify for a loan?

      Loan qualifications differ depending on which loan you are applying for. The best way to find out if you qualify for a loan is to apply.

    • How do I change my loan payment due date?

      We would be happy to review your loan account for a possible due date change. To be eligible for a change, several requirements must be met including having the current month's payment already paid. 

      Please note: Loan due date changes are not eligible on Visa, Overdraft Lines of Credit, Personal Lines of Credit, or Home Equity Lines of Credit.

    • How do I check the status of a loan application?

      You can check the status of a loan application by:

      1. Visiting the Kitsap Credit Union homepage. Simply scroll to the bottom of the page and select the "Check Application Status" link.
      2. When the new page loads, enter your last name, email and SSN.

    • How do I get a loan pay off?

      To obtain a loan payoff please contact us directly or visit any convenient branch location to ensure you receive the most accurate up to date information.

       

    • How long does a loan approval take?

      We can usually have your loan decision within a few hours.

    • How many days after your loan due date do you consider late? Is there a grace period?

      Kitsap Credit Union offers a generous grace period for our members with loan accounts. As long as the full payment is made within 15 days of the due date there will be no late fee added.

      Your loan agreement documents will specify when your first payment is due and the amount of late fee that would apply to your account. Alternatively, you can contact us and we can provide it for you.

      Remember, as a member, you have convenient online options for making your monthly loan payments.

    • I received an email to reset my loan, but I lost the email. Can you send it again or help me to take advantage of the offer?

      Yes! Please contact us to request for the email to be resent.

    • I received an email to reset my loan, if I reset my loan, will it affect my credit?

      No. Resetting your loan does not affect your credit. We already have all the information necessary for your loan reset.

    • I’m having a problem paying my loans, can you help me?

      We understand that unforeseen things may happen that may hinder your ability to make your loan payment. We are here to help. Please contact us so we may assist you with options for your Kitsap Credit Union loans.

      One possible option is our Skip-A-Pay. If your loan meets a few qualifications, you may be able to defer your monthly payment for a fee with our Skip-A-Pay option. For more information, visit our Skip-A-Pay page.

       

    • If I reset my loan a few months ago, can I reset it again?

      No. Each loan can only be reset once. If you need to refinance your loan, you can contact us.

    • I'm resetting my loan. If the loan is in two names, do both members have to electronically sign the loan modification forms?

      Yes. For auto and personal loans, the modification request is not considered complete until both members electronically sign the documents. 

      Visa accounts using the reset email to process balance transfer requests only require the primary card holder to electronically sign the request.

    • Web Payment Center Log In Help

      Web Payment Center allows you to make a Kitsap Credit Union loan payment with or without creating a Web Payment Center account. Please review our current Rate & Fee Schedule for the current Pay by Website Fee.

      Creating an account with our Web Payment Center  allows you to:

      • Set up recurring automatic payments.
      • Securely save your payment information for future online payments.
      • View previous payment history of payments made via your Web Payment Center account.

       

      To make a payment via the Web Payment Center you will need:

      • Your Member Number. This is the same as your six digit account number.
      • The primary account holder’s last four digits of their Social Security Number and their date of birth.
      • A phone number and email address.

       

      First time users can register to create an account.

      From the Web Payment Center, select Register and complete the steps to register for an account.


       

      To make a payment without creating an account.

      From the Web Payment Center, select Express Pay and complete the steps to make a loan payment.

       

      Web Payment Center FAQs:

      • When I register, I receive a message "We could not find your account details."
        • Check that the name, member number (account number), Social Security Number, or date of birth of the primary account holder.
      • I'm trying to make a payment with my Visa Credit Card and it's not working.
        • Only Visa Debit, MasterCard, and Discover are eligible for loan payments.
      • I forgot my password, how can I reset my account?
        • From the Web Payment Center log in page, select "Forgot Your Password?" link and follow the steps to reset your password.
      • What if I no longer have access to the email used on my account and need to reset my password?
        • You can create a new account with your new email address by selecting Register and registering for a new Web Payment Account. You will be able to connect to your loan with us during the registration process.

       

    • What information do I need to make my Kitsap Credit Union loan payment with my other financial institution's bill pay system?

      To make a payment to your loan with us, you'll need your loan account number and our address which is PO BOX 990, Bremerton, WA 98337. 

      Tip: All Kitsap Credit Union loan accounts have a savings account attached. For future payments, set up direct deposit into your savings account and set up an automatic transfer from savings to your loan account in online banking.

       

    • What is a loan reset?

      A loan reset is a benefit to qualifying auto and personal loan holders to modify the terms of their loan. Resetting the loan could lower the monthly payments and is only available through email. Emails are sent to qualifying members that meet certain criteria each month. 

    • What is my loan payoff amount?

      Most loans are charged interest daily so to receive the most accurate and up-to-date information we ask that you contact us directly for your loan payoff amount.
