Kitsap Credit Union and its vendor/partner, JayRay, have received the prestigious Totem Award from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) recognizing the 2007 Working Together for a Healthy Tomorrow campaign as the best community outreach program in the Greater Puget Sound. A Totem Award is the highest honor bestowed on any public relations program in Washington State and is merited only in cases where a program is a model, setting the highest standard of communications professionalism. It is judged by accredited public relations professionals, scored by the entrant’s demonstrated use of expertise in research, planning, execution and results evaluation.
The President of JayRay, Kurt Jacobson, presented the award to Kitsap Credit Union’s Board Chair, Dave Anderson, and CEO, Elliot Gregg on March 14, 2008. Mr. Jacobson expressed, “gratitude for the teamwork that garnered the highly esteemed honor, the contributions of the immensely talented Kitsap Credit Union staff, and the wisdom of the KCU Board and Management in fully supporting the elements of the campaign.”
